Professor Tom Steele is Director of Estates and Facilities at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC). He has spent over 35 years working in NHS Scotland, holding senior posts within NHS Ayrshire and Arran, NHS Forth Valley and NHS National Services Scotland before assuming his current role at NHSGGC in 2018.

Tom has a Masters Degree in Construction Management and holds professional registrations with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB).

In 2022 he was appointed as an Honorary Professor of Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) and Chair of the Advisory Board of the GCU Built Environment & Asset Management (BEAM) Research Centre.

Tom was appointed to the Board of the Ayrshire Hospice in 2016, where he chaired the Capital Project Governance Committee. In September 2022 Tom was appointed as Chair of the Ayrshire Hospice.

Tom lives in Ayr with his wife and daughter and enjoys travel, DIY and when time avails, the odd game of golf.
