We regularly review records of our supporters to ensure your data is as accurate as possible and we always appreciate it if you let us know if your contact details change. Where possible we use publicly available sources to keep our records up to date for example, the Post Office’s National Change of Address database, or information provided to us by a trusted third party service provider. It is important that we keep your personal data as up to date as possible for example, to prevent us writing to people who have moved house and have not provided their new address. We may, from time to time, get in touch with you to confirm that your details are still accurate and that you still wish to hear from us.

The Ayrshire Hospice tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’. If we do hold information about you, we will:

  • Give you a description of it
  • Tell you why we are holding it
  • Tell you who it could be disclosed to
  • Let you have a copy of the information in intelligible form
