Ways to Support Gifts in Wills Why we need your help The care and support the Ayrshire Hospice provides is centred around the needs of patients and their families, focusing on offering exceptional care that supports their physical, psycho-social and spiritual wellbeing. Wherever they are in Ayrshire and Arran, whether they in their own home, hospital, or in our ward, we make every day matter, free of pain, distress, fear and isolation. We serve a community of 370,000 people across the region. in 2023-24, 1,349 patients were cared for across our services 232 individuals (173 adults and 59 children) were referred to our bereavement counselling services Our Specialist Palliative Community Nursing Team made 2,108 home visits 421 patients visited one of our three Living Well Hubs Our Respite and Response Team made 2,308 visits to provide end-of-life care at home The Ayrshire Hospice now needs around £25,000 a day to run its services. But with an aging population, we expect the demand for our services to only continue to grow. That's why Gifts in Wills are so vital to the Hospice. After NHS funding, gifts in Wills are our most reliable source of sustainable income. Leaving even 1% of your estate to us will make a real difference to families affected by life-limiting illnesses - all while making sure your own family and loved ones are cared for too. If you've decided to leave a gift in your Will to the Hospice, we'd like to say thank you. From being able to stay with him in the family room for 3 nights to having out meals, toiletries and every need catered to as well as the personal touches such as being able to take Derek's finger prints, the handmade gifts he made with the help of the nurses to the 1:1 contact they gave us. Ayrshire Hospice turned this devastating time in our lives into one with fond memories to treasure and look back on with a smile." - Lesley Grayston Manage Cookie Preferences
