Volunteer Living Well Hub Driver

The Ayrshire Hospice is an experienced source of outstanding quality care and services which helps those with any life-limiting illness. Care is provided where there is no cure for the condition, but which improves the quality of each day for people who have a limited time to live. The hospice helps adults throughout Ayrshire and Arran with life limiting illness such as cancer, neurological conditions, end stage heart failure and lung disease. We help people to live as actively as they can to the end of their
lives - however long that may be, where ever that may be.

We not only take care of people’s physical needs but look after their emotional, spiritual and social needs too. Family members, close friends and carers are also supported both during a person’s illness and in bereavement. We provide care in a number of
places. These include people’s own homes, hospitals and care homes as well as in our purpose built day care and in-patient units. Wherever suits our patients best.

Volunteer drivers provide transport for patients to and from the Hospice and their home, with occasional transport to hospital appointments or trips out with healthcare premises.

The benefits you will receive include:
-The opportunity to gain experience in the charity sector
-Take on a new challenge and meet new people
-Opportunity to make a difference to your community
-Learn and develop new skills and use existing skills to help others
-Training and support to carry out your role
