With the situation throughout the world at the moment due to the Coronavirus pandemic I would like to assure you that we are following all guidelines published by the Government and have created our own action group to ensure we take all necessary steps to safeguard patient and family services while also protecting our own staff.

If you have any of the following symptoms:

  • A new, continuous cough.
  • A high temperature.

Please do not attempt to visit the hospice and follow the government's advice not to leave your home for 7 days from when the symptoms started. If your condition gets worse or your symptoms do not improve after 7 days then please make use of the online NHS 111 service.

If you are planning on visiting the in-patient unit or day services then please ensure you follow our infection control guidelines when onsite:

  • Make use of the hand sanitisers at the building's entrances.
  • frequently clean hands by using alcohol based hand rub or soap and water.
  • when coughing or sneezing cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue - throw the tissue away immediately and wash your hands.

We continue to monitor developments and will provide further updates where necessary.

I would like to thank you for your cooperation while the situation continues,

Yours Sincerely,

Margaret Wilkie

Patient Services Director
